Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya has urged William Ruto to stop his tours.
President William Ruto has been on a tour of the whole country recently. This week he has been on a tour of Nairobi County, where he has held several rallies accompanied by Nairobi Governor Sakaja. While on tour, he has uttered controversial promises where he promised to make a machine that is capable of making 1 million chapatis in a single day. He also added that within two weeks he will commission a project that will help Nairobians deal with water shortages.
Natembeya, who has not been shy to call out William Ruto, said he needs to stop his tours and start working for Kenyans.“We want the president to be serious. Kenya is a respected nation globally, and its leader must show commitment to governance. He should spend more time in his office, ensuring that the promises made to Kenyans are being delivered, rather than hopping from one city to another every other day. Today he is in Mombasa, tomorrow in Nairobi, then Kisumu the next day. When does he actually sit down and govern?” Natembeya asked.
