WhatsApp, Popular Platform Experiences Global Outage

After the messaging service fell down, WhatsApp users all across the world are unable to communicate using the platform.

On Tuesday, just before 10.30 a.m. East African Time, the outage started.

Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp are all owned by Meta, which has not yet released a statement.

On DownDetector, users from all around the world reported having trouble accessing the platform.

Users can access real-time status and outage information for any service that they deem essential to their daily lives and jobs on Downdetector.

Twitter and other social media sites were flooded with users making light of the circumstance.

Users of the WhatsApp web application are unable to log in due to problems.

Currently, it is the most popular trending subject on Twitter, with many individuals boasting that users of WhatsApp virtually always use it to check if other social media are down.

Users have discovered that after starting the app, they can still browse their discussions but that the app is not delivering any new messages or sending any that they attempt to send. Many users report that the app repeatedly displays a notification at the top of the app stating that it is “connecting” to the server before failing to do so, preventing users from sending or receiving any messages.

With an estimated two billion active users globally, WhatsApp is one of the most widely used messaging services in the UK and around the world.

However, WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, has not yet tweeted any updates regarding the outage.
