EPRA Announces Reduced Fuel Prices for June–July 2026 Pricing Cycle

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a reduction in the maximum retail prices of Super Petrol and Diesel for the period 15th June 2026 to 14th July 2026, while the price of Kerosene remains unchanged.

According to the latest pricing review, the maximum allowed pump prices for Super Petrol and Diesel have decreased by KShs. 0.22 and KShs. 10.00 per litre respectively, reflecting movements in the cost of imported petroleum products and the application of the Petroleum Pricing Regulations.

Energy regulator noted that the Government has continued to cushion consumers from the full impact of global petroleum price fluctuations through the Petroleum Development Levy Fund. During the review period, approximately KShs. 10 billion was utilized to stabilize fuel prices and protect consumers from higher costs.

The Authority attributed the price adjustments to changes in the landed cost of imported petroleum products. The average landed cost of Super Petrol declined during the review period, while Diesel recorded a marginal increase. Kerosene prices remained stable, resulting in no change to the retail price of the product.

EPRA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring fair, transparent and predictable fuel pricing while balancing the interests of consumers, industry players and the broader economy. The Authority will continue to monitor developments in the global petroleum market and implement appropriate pricing measures in line with the Petroleum Act and applicable regulations.

The revised prices take effect from 15th June 2026 and will remain in force until 14th July 2026.
