Residents of Kamongil in Chepalungu constituency, Bomet County have have been left in shock and disbelief after a contractor erected barriers instead of bridges, an act that has hampered transport operations in the area.
According to the one of the residents who sought anonymity, the contractor actions need to be questioned and mentally checked because such actions befits those of a mad man. He castigated the decisions of the contractor saying that road is now impassable and the construction company responsible should be investigated and stern action taken against them.
“ Hii njia ni kama ilitengenezwa na mwenda wazimu. Haipitiki kabisa. wewe jiangalilie”Hatujui kama ni culvert ama ni bridge ama ni nini? he said.
The County government of Bomet and Ministry of Transport has not issued any statement concerning this matter.
