Ruto Congratulates Lula da Silva On Winning The Presidency

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has been congratulated on winning the Brazilian presidential election by President William Ruto and other foreign leaders.

He said on Monday, “Congratulations to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on your election triumph.”

Ruto said that for the sake of our people, Kenya looks forward to deeper ties with Brazil.The far-right incumbent conservative President Jair Bolsonaro lost to leftist former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, according to Brazil’s electoral commission.

Additionally, US Vice President Joe Biden offered his congratulations.

I look forward to working with Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to continue the cooperation between our two countries in the months and years ahead. “I send my congratulations to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his election to be the next president of Brazil following free, fair, and credible elections,” he said.
