The Azimio La Umoja party leader stated that the government has hatched a plan to counter the Azimio demonstrators with intentions to disrupt, cause violence, and target their leaders within Nairobi.

In his statement to the media, Odinga claimed that the youth have already been armed and ferried to places like Jogoo Road, Kibra, Pandora, Hyrum, Muthurwa, Kayole, Korogocho and Mlango Kubwa.

Odinga hinted that this operation is spearheaded by the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and targets Azimio leaders in Nairobi including Babu Owino,Opiyo Wandayi, Edwin Sifuna and Jeremiah Kioni.

“We have information that the youth are being ferried to different locations in Nairobi and the aim is to target Azimio leaders. When this mayhem comes to pass, Mr. Gachagua must be prepared to take full responsibility for it.” Said Odinga.
