Hassan Joho Defends The Government From Online Trolls

Blue economy and mining cabinet secretary Hassan Joho has called out those who keep criticising the work the government is doing.

Joho joined President Ruto’s cabinet shortly after the Gen Z demonstrations back in July after brief negotiations between Ruto and Raila Odinga. Raila was given a part of the cabinet secretaries, and annd  some  names from the opposition in the cabinet include Hassan Joho, John Mbadi, and Opiyo Wandayi, among others. Since then the former opposition members have been very loud in defending the government of Ruto.

Speaking during a public rally yesterday, Joho called out those who kept on criticising the government. “A country cannot be built by people whose work revolves around Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. There are some people in Nairobi who have smartphones and data. The data may even be the free Wi-Fi provided by Ruto. All they do is criticise the government. While they talk, we are working on the ground.” He said.

However, Kenyans on social media, especially on X, were quick to call him out and remind him of how he called Ruto a liar during the entire campaign.
