Farouk Kibet Blasts Uhuru Kenyatta for Meddling in State Affairs

President William Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, has taken on former President Uhuru Kenyatta, accusing him of meddling in the running of the country.

Farouk stated that the former president had gone beyond the role of a statesman by inciting the youth against the government, urging him to step back and continue acting as a statesman.

“We are asking the retired president to respect Kenyans. You can’t be a retired head of state and then incite the public. He should allow the current president to govern. He was a president for ten years; we were not happy with his regime, but we put up with it and allowed him to work. Every morning he wakes up to incite; he doesn’t want peace for this country. We are telling him that he will be defeated,” Farouk said.

Farouk’s response was a result of Uhuru Kenyatta’s remarks, in which he called on the youth to stand up for their rights and demand better governance from the current regime.
