President Ruto Instructs Ichung’wah, Cheruiyot to Develop Strategy to Address Raila’s Grievances

President William Ruto has eventually kicked off plans to address the demands of the opposition as had been vocally aired by the opposition leader Raila Odinga, on Monday 2 April 2023.

The head of state in what is seen seen to ignite the process, tasked his right-hand men in parliament to provide best approach through which the pressure and Azimio grievances can be resolved.

This is an aftermath of Raila’s nod of head; to comply with President Ruto’s request to call off Azimio la Umoja countrywide demonstrations.

Ruto expressed complete confidence in the parliament as far as a conclusive remedy to the issues raised by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party are concerned.

He asked the parliament to swiftly make sure the tale ends sooner to provide his administration with a conducive platform to focus on their economic transformation programme.

We have asked the Parliamentary leadership of both Houses to consider our proposal for a bipartisan approach to addressing the matters raised by the Opposition as a priority.”

He added, “We are convinced Parliament shall conclusively handle the issues to allow us to focus on our economic transformation programme”

This came after his successful meeting with National Assembly Leader of Majority Kimani Ichung’wa and his Senate counterpart Aron Cheruiyot who are responsible to take the process further to establishing a framework for the bipartisan strategy to quell political chaos in the country
