Kenya Airways Commemorates 46 Years As the Country’s Airline

Kenya Airways, the national airline, is commemorating 46 years of flying the Kenyan flag.

In a news release issued by the Chief Commercial and Customer OfficerJulius Thairu, the airline praised its clients for their support and steadfastness over the years in service.

“Celebrating 46 years as an airline gives us enormous pride and delight,” he said.

According to Thairu, the airline’s first flight took place on January 22, 1977 and this equates to 46 years of offering clients with convenience, choice, and connectivity when they need it by bridging Africa to the rest of the world and the world to Africa. In order to boost connection, he stated, “we want to reassure our clients that we are dedicated to doing so through new routes, raised frequencies, network expansions, interline partnerships, and codeshare arrangements with our partners.” KQ flies passengers and freight to 42 locations on six continents.

According to Thairu, it is a key national asset that supports and facilitates the trade, agricultural, investment, travel, and tourism ecosphere on the continent and beyond.

As we commemorate this achievement, we promise to continue to innovate and give our clients the best possible service and satisfaction each time they choose to fly with us. Thairu announced a 30% fare discount on all tickets as a way of saying thanks to their patrons.

The discounted fare offer is available for booking between January 19 and January 24 at any KQ sales location, through travel agents, or online at www.kenyaairways.com, the airline stated. On January 25, he noted, the promotion would also be available for booking exclusively on www.kenyaairways.com.
