Spurs were struggling to find a way past Everton until Richarlison powered home a header from Ivan Perisic’s cross with 14 minutes remaining to open his account following his £60 million summer move.
Five minutes later, Richarlison added a second goal with an even stronger header, this time meeting Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s cross at the far post to past Pau Lopez in goal for Marseille and give Spurs the victory.
