Former Kakamega governor, Wycliff Ambetsa Oparanya warned the Azimio-One Kenya leaders joining Kenya Kwanza government said the move is a plot to weaken the opposition.
Oparanya in a tweet post accepted the defeat in the 9th elections as an Azimio La Umoja member and welcomed the next role of the opposition which is scrutinising the policies and administration of the rulling government (United Democratic Alliance) and hold them accountable.
“As a Azimio coalition, we have accepted the outcome of the general elections and we are ready to play our opposition roles effectively to put checks and balances on Kenya Kwanza government. Azimio leaders joining Kenya kwanza should stop as the move is a plot to weaken the opposition.” Read.
Ruto led coalition which bagged the majority seats in both the governors and in the senate to even producing the speakers in both houses has successfully managed to woo some affiliate parties of the Raila led coalition and Independent candidates including UDM politicians headed by outgoing Mandera governor Ali Roba who defected to Kenya Kwanza on Thursday, MDG party lead by Kisumu governor, Jack Ranguma and others.
