Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has warned ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna to either shape up and follow the party ideologies or ship out.
Taking to his social media handle, the fiery legislator stated that they (ODM members) appointed Sifuna as Secretary General to articulate party ideologies and resolutions—such as the Broad-Based Government—and not to trash them. He further added, “Sifuna can’t be eating and vomiting at the same time. You are not more articulate than Namwamba.”

“My brother Sifuna must know we made him Secretary of TheODMparty to speak on resolved party positions, such as the Memorandum of Understanding between @UDAPartyKe and @TheODMparty, which lays the foundation for the Broad-Based Government. You can’t support the MoU and attack the BBG at the same time, my friend! In which government are you, if not the Government of Kenya?
Who do you think you can dupe into believing that @TheODMparty is not in government when the party holds all those critical ministries and departments? You can’t be eating and vomiting at the same time. You are not more articulate than Namwamba. We will not allow you to abuse the experts again—never ever attack Hon. Mbadi and Hon. Wandayi. The targeted attacks on sons of Nyanza serving in government must stop! You either shape up or ship out!”
Kaluma’s statements come a few days after Raila Odinga stated that Sifuna speaks on behalf of the party and articulates its official positions on national matters—an assertion that has angered some ODM members. They are questioning Sifuna’s recent comments, including his claim that the Kenya Kwanza government will be a one-term administration.
