National Police Service (NPS) set to launch new plan that will see recruitment to police service done online.
According to Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, online recruitment system has been designed to curb existing corruption during the exercise and improve the shortlisting process.
Under the new system, candidates will first submit applications online. The recruiting team will then review all the applications submitted, and only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the field for physical inspection.
Backing the newest plan, Kanja said the system will help to ensure that only eligible candidates advance to the field stage. This shall reduce heaviest congestions normally seen countrywide when handling recruitment exercise.
He explains that the National Police Service has had to deal with overwhelming numbers during the recruitment due to the masses that show up for the recruitment.
This comes, even as the government continues to spread the gospel of curbing corruption in all the sectors.
