The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced fresh recruitment for three senior management positions, seeking to fill the roles of Deputy Commissioners in critical operational departments. In a public advertisement, the tax body said it is looking for “results-oriented, self-driven, dynamic and experienced individuals with high integrity” to take up the posts.
According to the notice, the vacancies include Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Quality Assurance and International Affairs, Deputy Commissioner for Cargo Scanning and Monitoring, and Deputy Commissioner for Revenue Monitoring. Each of the three positions has one opening and carries separate reference numbers for application. The recruitment is being handled through PKF, with full job descriptions published on the firm’s official website.
The KRA stated that it is recruiting under its legal mandate as a state agency established under the Kenya Revenue Authority Act of 1995. It noted that the positions are part of efforts to strengthen oversight, revenue assurance, and international engagement within the authority. Applicants are required to submit their applications online through the PKF careers portal by December 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. East Africa Time.
In the notice, KRA warned applicants against falsifying documents, stating that “it is a criminal offence to present fake certificates/documents and to include incorrect information in the application.” The authority further cautioned that canvassing or misrepresentation of qualifications would lead to automatic disqualification. It also emphasized that only shortlisted and successful candidates would be contacted.
Successful candidates will be required to meet strict integrity standards in line with Chapter Six of the Constitution. Among the mandatory documents listed are a certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, tax compliance certification from KRA, clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, as well as a credit report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau.
The authority further clarified that it is an equal opportunity employer and that applicants will not be charged any fees at any stage of the recruitment process. “PKF does not charge any application, processing, interviewing, or any other fee at any stage of the recruitment process,” the notice reads.
KRA also directed candidates facing challenges during the application process to submit their concerns through a designated email address provided in the advert. The recruitment comes as the authority continues to enhance leadership in key departments tasked with revenue monitoring, trade facilitation, and policy coordination, which are central to its mandate of domestic resource mobilization.
