The Kenya Power and Lighting Company has announced a nationwide power outage that has affected large parts of the country.
In a press release issued by the power supplier, the company stated that they had lost supply which affected the distribution of power in major parts, and reassured the public that their engineers are working towards restoring power in all the affected areas, as they seek to issue a detailed statement later on the cause of the outage.
Kenyans have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the KPLC and power outages, blaming their complacency and failure to address the issues as quickly as possible.
