Kenya has officially opened international tenders for the upgrade and capacity enhancement of the Pangani–Muthaiga–Kiambu–Ndumberi (B32) Road and its adjoining network—a major infrastructure project aimed at easing congestion in Nairobi and boosting regional mobility.
The ambitious project, backed by funding from the China EXIM Bank, is part of the government’s broader push to modernize critical transport links within and around the capital city.
The construction timeline is set at 36 months, with a 24-month defects notification period to ensure quality and accountability. Interested contractors must submit their bids by Friday, 22nd August 2025, at 11:00 a.m. (EAT).
Once completed, the improved road network is expected to significantly reduce travel time, decongest key traffic choke points, and enhance economic connectivity between Nairobi and its northern suburbs.
