A government spokesperson has denied rumours that President William Ruto has hired a PR firm to clear his image.
In recent weeks, abductions have been taking place all over the country, especially of the young youths. Back in June last year, the young generations took to the streets to put pressure against the government to reject the proposed finance bill 2024. Kenyans have been far from happy with the way the Kenya Kwanza government under William Ruto has been doing its things. This has caused a lot of criticism, especially from the online citizens who have vowed not to bow down to fear. This has badly damaged the image of president William Ruto, and reports suggested that he hired a PR agency to repair it.
Government spokespersons have now denied the stories revealing that the firm has been working for Ruto since 2020. “A recent article suggests that the government has hired APO Group and Zawya for PR. To clarify, there are no commercial ties with these organisations.APO has been sharing Presidency news pro bono since March 2020, prior to President Ruto’s tenure, to help amplify African voices,” the statement further added.
