Gideon Moi Visits Family of Late Johana Ng’eno in Karen, Calls for Unity in Mourning

Kenya African National Union (KANU) Chairman Gideon Moi on Tuesday visited the Karen residence of the late Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament, Johana Ng’eno, to condole with his family following his death.Moi arrived at the Nairobi home mid-morning and was received by close family members, relatives, and a section of leaders who had gathered to stand in solidarity with the bereaved family.

He spent time with the widow, children, and extended family, expressing his heartfelt sympathies and assuring them of his personal and party support during the difficult period.In his message of condolence, Moi described Ng’eno as a courageous and outspoken legislator who was never afraid to speak his mind on matters affecting his constituents and the country.

He noted that the late MP played an active role in parliamentary debates and consistently championed the interests of the people of Emurua Dikirr.“Kenya has lost a bold leader who believed in accountability and service to the people,” Moi said, adding that Ng’eno’s contributions in Parliament and in grassroots development would be remembered for years to come.The KANU chairman also signed the condolence book and joined the family in a brief prayer session.

He urged leaders across the political divide to come together in support of the family and to honour the late MP’s legacy through peaceful engagement and unity.Ng’eno’s death has drawn tributes from leaders across different political parties, many describing him as a fearless debater and a dedicated representative.

Residents of Emurua Dikirr have also continued to mourn their MP, recalling his accessibility and hands-on approach to constituency matters.Family spokespersons indicated that burial arrangements are ongoing, with more details expected to be communicated in the coming days after consultations with relatives and community leaders.

As leaders continue to stream to the Karen home to pay their respects, the mood remains sombre, with calls for solidarity and prayers for the family as they navigate this period of grief.
