Father To One Of The Girls Victimized In Mukumu Tragedy Kills Himself

A police officer, father to one of the girls who were victimized over Mukumu Girls’ ‘food poisoning tragedy’ shot himself dead on the evening of Sunday in his house located at Siala Koduol Police Station in Gem, Siaya county.

The officer identified as Maurice Tilison Chisihavi was as usual, on duty when the news of his demise suddenly broke out.

Confirming the incident, Gem Sub-county police Commander Cecilia Kemboi hinted that could be, the death of the officer was prompted by psychological state of his mind.

Kemboi said, “he is a teetotaler and we suspect he could only kill himself if he was distressed.”

The Sub-county police boss further revealed how adversely the news about the daughter’s health whereabouts over the Mukumu Girls’ High School incident affected him.
His daughter is one of the victims of Mukumu Girls’High School food poisoning incident. This had greatly affected him in the last few days.” Added the Sub-county police Commander.

However, Cecilia told the Star that the daughter to the officer had made safer miles having walked out of the hospital beds and was on recovery process
