DP Rigathi Gachagua Will Resign Before Tuesday When He’s Certain to be Impeached – Makau Mutua

Azimio La Umoja spokesperson, Professor Makau Mutua, has weighed in on the current developments regarding Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment motion tabled before Parliament.

Makau Mutua, who also doubles as a lawyer, stated that Gachagua will resign before Tuesday the 8th, when he is certain he will be impeached by the National Assembly MPs.

Mutua further highlighted that before Gachagua leaves, he will take down his enemies and cause chaos before stepping out of office.

“DP @rigathi will RESIGN before Tuesday when he’s CERTAIN to be impeached. But he will take down all his ‘enemies’ before he resigns. Like @realDonaldTrump, he will try to burn the house down,” Mutua said.

Gachagua is facing 11 charges, including gross misconduct, abuse of office, corruption, and being a tribal leader by championing the interests of the Mount Kenya region while neglecting other parts of the country, despite being the Deputy President of the Republic.
