Ali Hassan Joho
Cabinet Secretary for Mining and Blue Economy, Ali Hassan, has said that he has no intentions of leaving the government anytime soon.
Joho spoke when he and other cabinet secretaries attended the homecoming ceremony for the newly appointed Energy Cabinet Secretary, Opiyo Wanadayi, in Alego Usonga, Siaya County.
In his speech, the former Mombasa governor highlighted that they are now happy in the government. Despite being in ODM, their party has shown them the way to work with the government, and he has no intention of leaving.
“We are now in government. I have no desire to leave—not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, not next month, not next year, or even next term. I will not leave the government,” said Joho.
The homecoming was attended by various high-level leaders from the government, including President William Ruto, his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, and other governors. This event was also part of President Ruto’s itinerary, where he is on a development tour in the Nyanza region, having moved from Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya, and will be in Kisumu on Sunday.
