In Summary
Investigations have kicked off to identify the cause of the death of a teacher at Got Kachana Secondary School in Suna West, Migori county, who was found dead inside a latrine on Wenesday evening.
The body of the deceased was leaning against the wall of the latrine.
The deceased had earlier been spotted heading to the lavotary but wasn’t seen again since then.
Esau Ochorokodi, the police commander at Suna East Sub County said that the lifeless body of the 32-year old teacher was found inside the latrine on Tuesday evening by students who had gone to clean it.
This caused different reactions to the public as they ask themselves questions as to how he ended up in the latrine dead. Some thought maybe it was depression that forced him to take away his life. One person said,
“I have never believed in depression until I was decolonized, this thing is making a teacher’s life be hard, mental health is a concern in the contemporary world. How I wish that his colleagues would have helped him. Obviously he exhibited some signs of being depressed but who cares? ”
Police are yet to establish the cause of the death. The body has since been taken to Migori Referral Hospital mortuary pending an autopsy.
