Violence Strikes Ramasha, Kisii County: Shop Attendant Fatally Shot

Ramasha, Kisii County – In a tragic turn of events, violence erupted in the quiet community of Ramasha, Kisii County, as a shop attendant was brutally shot dead by an unknown gang. The incident, which occurred in the Chironge area of Masaba South, has left residents shaken and authorities scrambling for answers.

The victim, identified as Thomas Achanda, aged 72, met his untimely demise when he was shot at close range inside his own shop on Monday night, around 9 pm. Eyewitnesses recounted a chilling scene where two assailants, arriving on a motorcycle, engaged in a brief altercation with Achanda before unleashing fatal gunfire, striking him in the chest. Shockingly, the assailants fled the scene without taking any valuables from the shop, leaving behind a community in mourning and confusion.

Adding to the horror, another individual was injured in the attack. A man, who happened to be outside the shop at the time, sustained a gunshot wound to the lower part of his right foot. Fortunately, he was rushed to a local hospital and reported to be in stable condition.

Local law enforcement sprang into action swiftly, with officers from the Ramasha police station arriving at the scene shortly after the assailants made their escape. Despite the prompt response, the perpetrators remain at large, prompting a heightened state of vigilance in the area.

In response to this heinous crime, a team of dedicated detectives has been deployed to Ramasha to pursue leads and unravel the mystery behind the senseless violence. As of now, no arrests have been made, but authorities assure the public that they are diligently following crucial leads to apprehend those responsible for this shocking act.

The incident left one guard seriously injured and raised concerns about the security of vital facilities in the area.
