DP Rigathi Gachagua Pleads With Azimio to Cease Demonstrations this Afternoon

The Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua has eventually come out pleading with Azimio to call off the ongoing protests this afternoon.

This comes after half a day display of a chaotic nation that has made businesses and normal operation of trade and transport sector stand-still.

We want to ask these people to consider calling off the demonstrations this afternoon.” Said Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Despite enforcing security operations within and around various regions in the country including Kisumu City, Nariobi city, Nakuru City among others, angry Azimio supporters have been seen Infront of the cameras playing cat and mouse games with police officers.

The results have seen a number of them being arrested while others have been left nursing wounds.

A few have also been reported to have lost lives in the protests.

It is for these adverse negative impacts, as well as the possibility of more intense situations that the deputy President Rigathi Gachagua vocals his plea to the opposition in a bid to prevent continuous similar incidences.
