Dullo Is No Longer The Speaker As Kingi Finally Changes Azimio’s Leadership

Fatuma Dullo, a senator from Isiolo, has finally lost her position as Senate minority whip.

Following a month-long dispute with the Azimio senators, Speaker Amason Kingi made the modifications public on Thursday afternoon. Kingi explained in his lengthy communication that he made the revisions after concluding that the minority wing had complied with all the standards and guidelines. Hence, I hereby rule that senator Fatuma Dullo has been rightfully dismissed from her position as Senate minority whip, Kingi stated.

Dullo has been succeeded as the senator for Narok by Ledama Olekina, who has appointed Edwin Sifuna as his assistant. Kingi claimed that in making the decision, he had examined and confirmed a number of the documents that had been sent to him.

Among them is a ruling by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal that threw out a Dullo-filed lawsuit contesting her removal from office.

The minority senators’ minutes from their vote to remove Dullo, as well as the list of people who signed the petition to do so, were also approved by the speaker, who added.
