Kenya’s loved Gengetone artist Mejja has come out to defend reason for not being able to drop a new track to his fans of late.
The artist, during an interview with popular media personality Mzazi Willy M Tuva, revealed to his fans that he is undergoing medication on his throat following consistent problems he has been lately having on that part of his body.
Further, Mejja said the problem initiated during his performance in Australia and it all started with signs of flu. Later on, the pain worsened.
“I have been having issues with my throat, When I was in Australia I had a flu and couldn’t get access to medicine and I was performing almost everyday,” he told Willy M Tuva.
One of the very serious symptoms he experienced later after returning back to the country include blood spots in his cough.
This aroused his curiosity. As a result, the musician opted to seek for serious medical attention where the doctor afterwards, noticed some inflammation and asked him to take a month off from music as he continues to collapse the duration in which he served under voice therapy.
Asking his fans to put him under constant prayers, Mejja promised to take precautions on a serious note revealing that his future lies on the roses of his voice.
“I have to follow doctors instructions and avoid everything on the list including lemons, pineapples, smoke and the rest. My voice is my career.” He said.
“My fans please pray for me, sitaki kuacha muziki.”
As it is expected by millions and hundreds of his followers, the musician is rumoured to be working on a collaborative track with Tanzanian fast rising artist Jay Melody.
