Fresh Details Emerge As Kenya Police Issues A Statement On Arshad Sharif Killing

The Kenya National Police has issued a statement after a Pakistan Journalist was shot dead in Magadi, Kweni farm ,Nairobi  yesterday evening.

In the statement, the police service said that, the 50 year old Pakistan journalist Arshad Sharif was in the company of his brother Khurram Ahmed when the incident happened and that it was a case of mistaken identity.

According to the police, there were circulation of a stolen motor vehicle, an incident that prompted the Pangani Police to erect barriers and when the deceased vehicle of registration number KDG 200M failed to stop at the patrol point, they were shot at injuring the journalist.

“ The deceased vehicle came upon the police barrier which they drove through and it then when they were shot fatally injuring late Arshad Sharif. The National Police regrets this unfortunate incident’’ said the statement. Competent authorities have been engaged to get to root of the matter for action.
