William Ruto And Other Kenya Kwanza Leaders Attend Church Service In Nakuru Ahead Of Monday Verdict

As the Supreme Court judges are expected to make verdict in the next less than 36hours on the hearing petitions concluded on Friday, President elect, William Ruto and other leaders in Kenya Kwanza alliance were on Sunday featured in a church sermon in Nakuru.

Ruto who has never shied off from showing his religion stand despite mocking and claims of pretense, seems to have preserved this moment for prayers hoping for a favor on his side.

William Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Kivutha Kibwana and Musalia Mudavadi among others attended an inter-denominational church at Lamudiarc High School Grounds, Nakuru County.

Speaking after the service, the President-Elect appealed to Kenyans to respect the decision of the court and remain peaceful.

“Tomorrow (Monday), the Supreme Court will deliver its judgment on the Presidential election petition. Because we are a country that adheres to the law, we will equally respect the verdict,” he said.

Churches under the National Council of Churches in Kenya (NCCK) are also holding special prayers for truth, justice and peace. Reverend Cannon Chris Karanja has cautioned citizens on speaking hate words that might compromise the relations with each.
