“We Are Down But Not Out,” Jalango Assures Langata Residents As He Begins Recovery Journey

Langata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalango, has assured Langata residents that constituency business will continue as usual despite his absence due to surgery.

Through a tweet on his official social media platforms,the legislator assured the constituents that his team will be in charge as he begins his recovery journey.

According to the ODM MP, he sustained an injury during their basketball training and tore his muscle. after the injury, Jalang’o received initial first-aid treatment on the court’s sidelines before undergoing further evaluation at the hospital.

“Last Tuesday during our morning Bunge basketball training, I had an accident that tore my achilles tendons. I had reconstructive surgery done, and I am back home as the 6 weeks recovery journey, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your QR wishes and all of you who visited me at the Nairobi hospital. I want to thank the whole team of Nairobi hospital led by Prof. Atinga for their amazing job and their general hospitality and service. We are down but not out! Our able Langata team will be in charge of constituency matters, closely monitored by myself. ASANTENI saana!’,” read his tweet.

Jalango has come under fire from the ODM faction after promising to work with President William Ruto and facing disciplinary action for expressing interest in working with another political party.
