Senior Police Officer Dies After Collapsing at Home in Juja

Detectives in Kiambu County are investigating the sudden death of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Susan Mangiso Sarioyo, who collapsed and died in her compound at Jacaranda Court Estate, Juja South, on Thursday afternoon.

ASP Sarioyo, who was in charge of personnel at the Kasarani police sub-county, was reportedly on leave at the time. According to neighbors, they heard screams from her compound and rushed over, only to find her lifeless body on the floor inside a poultry house.

Senior police officers visited the scene and confirmed her death. They described her as a dedicated and approachable officer. The body was taken to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigations to determine the cause of death.

This marks the second similar incident in recent weeks. Two weeks ago, another female officer collapsed and died outside Mbaraki Police Station in Mombasa. The cause of her death was also undisclosed.

In a separate incident, a 70-year-old man, Joseph Ogal, died after falling from a stool while repairing the roof of a structure in Soweto, Kayole, Nairobi. Ogal had been contracted to fix a chicken house on the third floor of an apartment when he reportedly slipped and fell headfirst to the floor.

His body was discovered hours later, with visible injuries on the back of his head. Police, who visited the scene, found his legs on the stool and his body sprawled on the floor. The body was taken to the mortuary as investigations into the cause of the fall continue.

Both incidents remain under investigation as authorities work to uncover more details.
