The visit to the Gusii region, traditionally a political swing zone, saw the President launch several multi-billion shilling projects. During the tour, he took a swipe at opposition figures who have recently rallied behind Matiang’i, asserting that none of them currently match his political stature or track record of delivery. He specifically questioned the contribution of his critics to local development, asking residents if those who oppose him had built any classrooms or roads in the region.
