Rigathi Gachagua Promises To Engage Grass Root Leaders

Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has revealed he will engage leaders from all over Kenya.

As we continue to prepare for the 2027 general elections, different leaders who aspire to be elected in various positions continue to prepare themselves. The presidential race continues to heat up as, during the past few weeks, President William Ruto has been in campaign mode, where he recently visited western Kenya, where he said that he does not see any competitor for his reelection bid. He was accompanied by several leaders who urged him that things are not working out well and that he must change.

Rigathi Gachagua has also expressed interest in the top seat against his former boss. Yesterday he revealed he will be engaging leaders from the grassroots levels as he tries to popularise his bid. “I Will continue engaging leaders from the grassroots to the national level to bring together a comprehensive report to economic situation of the country and the way forward.”He said.

Last year he said he would form a winning coalition together with Wiper party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, but so far this year nothing has materialised. Fred Matiang’i is also rumoured to be preparing a bid to run for the presidency, and former president Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to give him his blessings and support him.
