Pastor Ezekiel Receives a Reprieve As Judges Grant Access to Frozen Accounts

All of Pastor Ezekiel’s bank accounts, which had been frozen for the previous 15 days, are now accessible.

This is after the court’s allotted 15 days have passed. This morning, the investigating officer appeared in court and stated that all banks had complied with the rules and that he had no objections to the pastor using his church accounts. Inspector Martin Munene said before the court during cross-examination by Attorney Danstan Omari that none of the accounts in the documentation they had received were in the name of the pastor.

Every account, according to him, was either for the church or the school.

Safaricom, on the other hand, has not cooperated with the court order as of today, according to the officer, who demanded that they be called for failing to produce data pertaining to the SIM cards in question. To determine whether Safaricom complies with the court order, the subject will be discussed on Tuesday of the following week.

Pastor Ezekiel was visiting his Mavueni church at the time, when top security officers and attorney Cliff Ombeta were inspecting the building to look for problems, according to Omari, who also informed the court of this.
