Geco Tribe has officially announced the return of Geco Hangout, a two-day destination experience scheduled for May 1st and 2nd at the Lukenya Conservancy.
Moving away from the high-octane format of traditional urban festivals, the event is being positioned as a “hangout”—a curated blend of live music, outdoor camping, and community socialising designed to offer Nairobi’s residents a temporary escape from the city’s busy pulse.
A Shift Toward Experiential Leisure As Nairobi continues to grow, there is a visible shift in how the city’s young professionals and creatives spend their weekends. The Geco Hangout aims to tap into the rising demand for “destination gatherings” that combine travel and nature with entertainment.”Geco has always been about creating space for music to breathe and for artists to be seen and heard in a way that feels honest,” says Mateus Finato of Geco Tribe. “With Geco Hangout, we wanted to bring that same energy into the open, set against the landscape of Lukenya, where the environment itself becomes part of the experience
