Kenyans are now on the receiving end of power frustrations after parts of the country were plunged into darkness following a widespread power outage.
Kenya Power has reported that the most affected regions which are Nairobi, Coast, Mt. Kenya regions are experiencing outage due to a technical glitch affecting its distribution systems.
“At 11:09am this morning, we lost power supply due to a system disturbance, affecting parts of Nairobi, coast and Mt Kenya regions,” Kenya Power said in a statement.
According to the report published on Wednesday 2 November,2022, restoration efforts are already underway.
“We are working in collaboration with other sector players, to restore the power supply as soon as possible. An update on the restoration progress will be issued in due course.”Read the statement.
Other parts significantly affected are Busia,Makueni and Nakuru.
