Man In Court Accused Of Repeatedly Stabbing Mother

A guy has been accused of repeatedly stabbing her mother with a kitchen knife and threatening to kill her for allegedly not doing enough to ensure his happiness.

Arvin Amuhanda Shayuga was accused of threatening to kill Beatrice Ayuma Shayuga in the Waithaka neighborhood of Nairobi County’s Dagoretti Sub-county in March 2023. According to the accusation, the offense was committed on March 31 in the Kwanyama neighborhood of Riruta, Dagoreti Sub-county, in Nairobi County.After alleging that he had been abused, the accused allegedly ambushed her mother as she was in the bedroom. Also, he was accused of causing disturbances.

The accused was also accused of hitting her mother, causing serious injuries to her arm, and ruining her mother’s possessions, including a thermos flask. In court, the defendant disputed the allegations in front of Chief Magistrate Anne Mwangi. She gave the order that the prosecution provide the accused with a witness statement and any supporting documentation.

On a Sh100,000 bond with a matching surety, the magistrate released him.

On April 17, the subject will be discussed for further guidance.
