The late former education CS George Magoha’s body has arrived in Siaya for Saturday burial.
A Kenya Airforce helicopter airlifted the body from Nairobi and touched down at Yala Township Primary School shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday. Residents of Yala were there to receive the late professor’s body in his hometown in a sombre mood.
Magoha will be laid to rest at his home in Yala, Siaya county, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, according to his family. A funeral mass will be held at Odera Akang’o University College before the burial.
At the Consolate Shrine in Westlands, a funeral liturgy for Magoha was celebrated on Thursday at 9 a.m.
