Kisii Man kills Father With A Hoe

A 50-year-old man was hacked to death in Kegochi Nyamache, Kisii, after a fight over a hoe he had lent his son.

The deceased, James Orwenyo, had gone to check on his son, James Maguto, to request his jembe back when he was killed. According to Enoch Mauti, the son picked up a hoe and hacked his father. He died on the spot. Maguto’s sister, Agnes Ogega, said he had a history of mental illness.

“My father frequently visits to see how he is. He merely went to get the jembe he had taken today, and that’s when he killed him “She stated

The jembe was seized from the spot by Nyamache police. The incident is the subject of investigations. The mortuary at Nyamache Hospital received the body.
