Kileleshwa MCA-elect and blogger Robert Alai has noted complaints on noise and disruptions produced by bars and night clubs situated near the residential areas.
In a tweet post Alai mentioned five clubs Numero 5, Samaki Samaki, The Bar Next Door, Hera Aqua Gardens and Kettle House alleging that they are operating without approval from the necessary authority and traumatising children when doing homework while promising that an order to relocate them to Central Business District (CBD) will be effected after the inauguration ceremony of the president elect William Ruto on Tuesday.
“After swearing in, we have a list which must be acted on ASAP. It’s Kileleshwa. They must go,” read part of the tweet.
He was responding to a resident who complaint saying, “My MCA, we have a club adjacent Gertrudes Children Hospital Lavington along Othaya road that has been a menace to the Hospital and the neighboring estates. I don’t know if it falls on Kileleshwa ward or Kilimani ward but it need serious addressing mhesh.”
The Member of County Assembly–elect confirmed what he had promised to Kileleshwa residents during his campaign trail that he would ensure sanity and safety to their children and estates.
