In a statement released on Saturday, June 21, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs urged Kenyans in the affected regions to register their personal details immediately to facilitate emergency assistance.
“For your safety and to ensure we can assist you promptly in case of any emergency or distress, we kindly ask you to register your details with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs,” the notice read.
The department has shared contact information and online registration links to streamline the process, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. This measure is part of the Kenyan government’s broader efforts to protect its citizens abroad during international crises.
