Kenya Needs To Be Freed From Dictatorship, Says Raila

Leader of Azimio la Umoja Raila Odinga now asserts that Kenya must be freed from tyranny.

Raila claimed that even if the government sent a million police officers to stop them, they couldn’t be stopped in his stepped-up attack on the administration. Kenya, according to the previous prime minister, is more powerful than the police. The power of a nation’s politics, he continued, is in its people.

“Kenya lazima ikombolewe. Itolewe uongozi wa ki imla, uongozi wa kimabavu… Hata walete askari milioni moja Kenya iko na nguvu zaidi. Nguvu ya siasa ni wananchi,” Raila said.

According to a rough translation, “Kenya must be let free. There must be an end to dictatorial rule. Kenya would still be more powerful even if they imported a million police personnel. The people are what make politics strong.”
