Gladys Boss Shollei Questions CS Ababu Namwamba’s Leadership, Says Athletes Put On Fake Uniforms

Uasin Gishu Women Rep and Deputy speaker Gladys Shollei has launched a scathing attack against Sports Cabinet secretary Ababu Namwamba, questioning his leadership and capability to lead the sports docket.

Boss Shollei  while on live television, stated that the CS has mismanaged the Sports Ministry as athletes are putting on fake uniforms, yet he’s mandated to take care of their welfare and improve their standards.

“I have hosted them (athletes) at my house because the CS is not bothered. He must be accountable. How can our athletes put on fake uniforms in this century? It is a shame,” said Shollei.

The lawmaker further questions the existence of Talanta Hela an initiative that was launched by Namwamba whose mandate was to nurture young talents and ensure skill absorption

“If you google Talanta Hela app, it does not exist. It is not functional,” added Shollei.

Shollei becomes the second leader to castigate Namwamba after Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa questioned how Kenya’s sports were handled by the ministry.
