CS Wandayi Hosts ODM Leaders and Luo Elders in Sidindi Consultative Meeting

Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi on Sunday welcomed a delegation of political leaders and cultural representatives to his Sidindi home in Ugunja, Siaya County.The team was led by ODM party leader Senator Oburu Oginga, alongside several Members of Parliament, Members of County Assembly, and officials from the Luo Council of Elders headed by Ker Odungi Randa.According to sources close to the meeting, the visit was part of ongoing engagements between national leaders and community institutions aimed at strengthening cooperation within the region.

Discussions reportedly touched on development priorities, political coordination, and the need to maintain unity among leaders in Siaya and the wider Nyanza region.CS Wandayi thanked the delegation for their visit, noting that such interactions help to enhance collaboration between government offices and community leadership.

Senator Oburu Oginga emphasised the importance of keeping open channels of consultation as the region navigates current political and socio-economic challenges.Ker Odungi Randa and the elders used the opportunity to encourage continued harmony among leaders, urging them to uphold dialogue and cultural values in addressing emerging issues.The meeting ended with a mutual commitment to maintain regular engagements focused on development, stability, and community welfare.
