Public service Cabinet secretary Justin Muturi has dared MPs who want to impeach him to go ahead as he is ready.
Members of Parliament allied to President William Ruto have started to issue threats to Justin Muturi after his press conference on Sunday. It started with Kitany Maryanne, who gave Muturi a warning to either resign or face impeachment from the MPs. Osoro yesterday also urged Muturi that his days are numbered in office if he does not resign, as he will face impeachment.
The former speaker of the National Assembly has now dared the MPs to bring the motion on as he knows what he is doing.”I will just say bring it on. At my age, I am not the kind of person to respond to some perfunctory statements made by fairly inexperienced politicians.I think they are not worth my response. So if anybody thinks that I don’t know what I was doing, they are up for a rude shock.” said Muturi.
On Sunday, Muturi made headlines in what was a shocking move by many after he demanded answers for his son, who was abducted a few months ago. “My son was personally abducted and disappeared, making us anxious, and at that time, I was the attorney general of Kenya and a member of the National Security Council,” he said.
Yesterday, Muturi visited DCI offices to record a statement after his words.
