Ann Waiguru Warns Politicians Against Joining Rigathi Gachagua

Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru has warned those siding with Rigathi Gachagua.

Political temperatures in the country continue to rise, and things are heating up as we head towards the 2027 general elections. Former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua continues to be the talk of the town, especially after he continues to badmouth president William Ruto. He announced that he will launch his political party in May and announce his coalition partners. Raila is also expected to make an announcement soon, as he lost the AUC chairperson earlier this week.

Ann Waiguru has now warned the politicians that are on the side of Rigathi Gachagua that they will regret their move.”As the governor of Kirinyaga, I would not wish to see my people being deceived. And I advise my people who want to vie for elective positions in 2027. Do not rush to that (Gachagua’s) side because you will not be guaranteed nomination tickets,” she said.

Ruto’s allies continue to say that Gachagua is not fit to run for the office, as they say he is not a good leader. Gachagua has, on several occasions, said that Ruto controls those within him.
