Famous philanthropist Esther Akoth, well-known as Akothee has shared her joy following a positive reception of her newly founded Academy School, based in her Rural home in Nyanza.
Taking her expression on social media, Akothee announced vacancies that her academy has offered to parents of the students learning in her school, further revealing how shocked she is with the rate at which the parents are sending their applications to clinch the opportunities.
“I am deeply humbled and immensely grateful for the overwhelming reception of Akothee Academy. We have already received applications from 100 parents, and as of now, only 50 vacancies remain. Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate everyone if applications continue at this pace,” she stated.
However, she has decided to waive the burden of transport fees to parents, adding, “we have decided that starting 2025, transport fees will be charged per parent rather than per child. Imagine a parent with three children in the same school, all paying transport fees individually while traveling from the same area—it simply doesn’t make sense.”
In conclusion, the mother of five urged parents not to be extravagant during this festive season but instead plan well with their Christmas expenditures to secure the necessities that would be required of their children when the schools reopen next year.
