Airtel Uganda Profit Jumps 41% on Strong Data Demand

Airtel Uganda has reported a sharp rise in profits for the financial year ending December 2025, driven by strong growth in data usage and value-added services.
The telecom company recorded a 13.3 percent increase in revenue to Ushs 2,249.7 billion. According to the company, the growth was supported by higher demand for data services and other digital products.

As revenue increased, profits grew even faster. Operating profit rose by 35 percent to Ushs 849.2 billion, pushing the company’s operating margin to 37.7 percent. This shows the firm was able to turn more of its revenue into profit compared to previous periods.

Profit after tax climbed 41.1 percent to Ushs 446.9 billion. At the same time, operating cash flow reached Ushs 1,013.4 billion, strengthening the company’s ability to support network expansion and other investments.

AurtelFollowing the improved performance, the board proposed a final dividend of Ushs 3.55 per share, up from Ushs 2.50 paid the previous year, signalling confidence in the company’s strong earnings and continued demand for digital services.
