Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has expressed his disapproval towards former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s continued involvement in politics following his retirement from office. Duale has emphasized the importance of maintaining a clear distinction between political engagement and post-presidential retirement, urging Kenyatta to refrain from political activities.
The assertive Defence Cabinet Secretary, Aden Duale, accused the former head of state of alleged involvement in the Azimio demonstrations. Duale criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta’s behavior, stating that it did not align with the conduct expected of a statesman and exhibited a lack of respect towards his successor, William Ruto.
In an official statement delivered in Isiolo, the former Member of Parliament for Garissa, Aden Duale, specifically directed his criticism towards President Uhuru Kenyatta for his associations with individuals such as Gaucho. Duale expressed his concerns that such companionship was causing embarrassment for the former president.
Additionally, Aden Duale raised doubts about President Uhuru Kenyatta’s true motives behind organizing a National Delegates Conference, suggesting that the former president should allow elected politicians to oversee the affairs of the Jubilee Party.
