Police Launch Manhunt On A Kericho Man Who Escaped Arrest When Found Harvesting Bhang

Police in Kericho are manhunting a man who escaped arrest after he was found in company of two others harvesting bhang cultivated in their secret piece of land.

According to the reports by assistant chief of Kapkormom sub-location Mr Benard Kimutai, a resident of the said village identified Benard Ngetich had cultivated the narcotic drug within his shamba inside a maize plantation only to come and be brought into limelight later at the time of harvesting.

Immediately the reports reached out to the ears of the nearest police station, located about 21 kilometers from the scene, the officers quickly got onto the scene where they caught up with two men; Mr Benard Kipng’eno Ngetich and Evans Kibet aged 30yrs and 25yrs respectively, inside the plantation plucking the canabis sativa plants.

The two were arrested while one suspect by the name Evans Kibet Koech managed to sublime through the rocky steep slopes within the area.

Several canabis sativa plants of unknown value were uprooted and the two arrested suspects currently locked up waiting to be arraigned in court on Monday 22, May 2023.
